Product Description

A sneeze guard is a physical barrier that is set up to provide a separation between people or between people and food. Its purpose is to prevent droplets associated with coughs and sneezes from contaminating other surfaces or getting onto other people. Sneeze guards are used at restaurants, buffets, schools, cafes, desktops, workstations, checkout counters and reception countertops to help reduce the transmission Many stores, businesses, hotels, doctor's offices and schools have work desks or counters where communication between employees or transactions between customers and employees takes place. Placing a sneeze guard at these locations protects employees and your customers by creating a physical separation that helps maintain social distancing.

The height of a desk, table or reception counter sneeze guard should be tall enough above the floor to adequately create a physical separation or divider between the people using the table or desktop. Consideration should be given as to whether the people are in a seated position or if they are standing up. The average height of a person seated in a chair is between 42 inches and 54 inches high. The average height of a person standing is between 5 feet and 6 feet tall. Most restaurant tables, school cafeteria tables and corporate desktops are approximately 30 inches tall. Reception desks and counter heights generally vary from 30 inches to 42 inches tall. A sneeze guard positioned on either should extend upward from the table surface between 24 and 36 inches to form an effective barrier.

This item includes two 3/16 inch thick solid acrylic panels that interlock together. When assembled the unit is 48 inches wide by 24 inches tall and 48 inches deep. This freestanding unit works well on rectangular, square or round tabletops or other flat surfaces. Use a soft cloth and soapy water only to clean. Do not use scouring compounds or chemical glass cleaners as they may harm surface.
